Is rugby safe?

Rugby might seem 'unsafe' due to its fluidity, lack of protective gear, and varied player sizes.

However, its dynamic flow, though different from football's stop-and-start pace, is structured and safe when understood. Players are trained in proper tackling techniques to ensure safety, emphasizing team support and proper form. Rugby’s tackling techniques are much safer than football!

Despite minimal protective gear, rugby's focus on safe play minimizes injury risks. While players face differing sizes, they're coached on how to navigate these situations with teamwork and technique.

Every player finds their position in rugby, creating a supportive environment for all, and fostering inclusion rather than intimidation.

How is rugby played? What is the terminology?

What is the history of rugby?

In a defining moment at England's Rugby School in 1823, William Webb Ellis, during a soccer match, seized the ball and made history by running down the field to score, birthing the game of rugby. This pivotal act resonates globally, with rugby now thriving in over 100 countries— all tracing back to Ellis's spontaneous innovation. Interestingly, football's roots can be traced back to rugby, creating an evolution from soccer to rugby and eventually to modern-day football.
